Things continue to progress, in a lot of areas.
First, in keeping with our name, we've decided to name our wines after dances We've had a lot of fun trying out dance names, and fitting them with particular wines. If you come to our tasting room, I welcome your feedback.
The most exciting thing (at least for me) is that we have settled on the construction of our first six wines, and they are extraordinary. Ken has done it again. I opened two sample bottles at a dinner party last week-- Calypso and Tap Dance. Both were big hits. Everyone noticed and liked the wonderful nose that happens with our wines.
The construction of our main building continues to progress, and that's getting more exciting, as well.
I suddenly realized how this winery process has started to connect us with the earth-- much more than ever before.

First, there's the connection of now being farmers. Growing sustenance from the land.
Second, we've chosen geothermal heating and cooling in both of our buildings, causing us to be even more connected with the land, in an ongoing way.
Third (and this is really the coolest part), the rock pieces being applied to the outside of our building and on all of our stone pillars comes directly from our land-- they come from boulders that we took out of our fields, and crushed on site.
I didn't realize until last week that there seems to be a "connecting with Mother Earth" theme developing here. What a cool realization.
