This Kitchen Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of DDW’s food preparation.
Duties and Responsibilities: This person is responsible for:
►Building and achieving appropriate goals for the department;
►Directing all food preparation, consistently achieving high quality, taste, and presentation, and expedite during peak meal periods as needed;
►Training kitchen staff on the proper methods of food preparation and handling;
►Managing inventory and ordering of food, accounting for projected levels of business and special events;
►Maintaining cleanliness of facilities, and keeping equipment in good repair;
►Establish and require strict adherence to health department food handling guidelines; and
►Develop annual and monthly budgets, and manage food department to budget.
Qualifications:
►ServSafe certification required (may be obtained on the job);
►Five years relevant kitchen experience; and
►Two years kitchen management or supervisory experience.
Skills:
►Computer literacy sufficient to manage kitchen staff and develop and manage to budget;
►Availability to work a varied schedule including weekends and most holidays;
►Ability to stand for long periods of time; and
►Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
